So much gas and time are wasted sitting on Rte 50 with a red left turning arrow and no oncoming traffic. Put in a trial program to use blinking left arrows. After a full stop, cars could then turn left when traffic permitted. Forty years ago, right-on-red seemed revolutionary, but that has saved time and gas all across the country.
