Description

The sidewalk at the curb where you take a right from Van Dam St. on to Clinton St. is craked badly and falling apart. I stood on the curb today and it started to sink. The break is at least 4 foot wide by 4 foot long. It appears that either it was hit by a plow or heavy vehicles have repeatedly been driving over the curb and onto the sidewalk. This is a SAFETY issue for DPW Commisioner Skippy and crew to fix NOW, not the home owner. CURB NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND INCLUDE UPDATED WHEELCHAIR CURB CUTS. ALSO DO THE SAME THING TO THE INTERESCTION OF VAN DAM ST. & LAWRENCE ST. BY THE 2 STORY BRICK HOUSE, That sidewalk is almost as bad and has a very long crack from one side to the other.

While you are at it make the home owners of 69 & 73 Van Dam St. fix that sidewalk that is broken with pieces jutting upwards. It's got to be caused by the roots of that big tree out front. It's a MAJOR trip hazard and is currently filled with MUD.
